Legal / Terms
Terms of Service
These terms govern use of SignalPost, a public creator tool operated by Michael Costea in Victoria, Australia. By connecting an account or submitting a post, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy.
1. Eligibility and account authority
You must be legally able to use the service, meet TikTok’s age and account requirements, and be authorized to control the connected TikTok profile. Do not connect another person’s or organization’s account without permission.
2. What SignalPost provides
SignalPost lets a connected creator select an MP4, preview it, edit a caption, manually choose privacy, choose available interaction settings, declare commercial content, confirm music usage, and explicitly instruct the service to submit the post. Provider acceptance, processing, moderation, reach, availability, or public visibility is not guaranteed.
3. Your content and rights
You retain rights you hold in your content. You grant SignalPost a limited, temporary permission to process and transmit the selected content solely to complete the post you request. You confirm that:
- the video is your original content or you have all necessary permissions;
- you have permission for every person, image, trademark, recording, musical work, and sound recording included;
- the caption and disclosures are accurate; and
- the post complies with applicable law, TikTok’s terms, Community Guidelines, branded-content rules, and music rules.
4. Prohibited use
You must not use SignalPost to:
- scrape, download, clone, or republish arbitrary third-party videos;
- infringe copyright, privacy, publicity, trademark, or other rights;
- post illegal, deceptive, hateful, exploitative, abusive, or dangerous material;
- hide sponsorship, paid partnership, affiliate, or self-promotional relationships;
- bypass TikTok review, privacy, account, rate, moderation, or consent controls;
- automate posts without the connected user’s awareness and explicit per-post consent;
- probe, overload, reverse engineer, or compromise the service; or
- share passwords, provider credentials, or SignalPost session identifiers.
5. Commercial and music declarations
You must accurately select own-brand and paid-partnership disclosures. You must complete the Music Usage Confirmation for every post and ensure you have the rights required for included audio. SignalPost does not supply music licences or legal clearance.
6. TikTok relationship
SignalPost uses TikTok services subject to TikTok’s platform terms and technical availability. SignalPost is independent and is not endorsed by TikTok. TikTok may reject, limit, remove, mute, moderate, or otherwise act on posts and accounts under its rules.
7. Initial-release limitations
The initial release accepts one MP4 up to 9 MB per user-initiated request. Features may change as provider review and platform requirements evolve. Upload initialization or a provider publish ID is not represented as proof of a public post.
8. Availability and warranties
The service is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties that are not legally mandatory. Nothing excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, SignalPost and its operator are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, provider outages, moderation decisions, account restrictions, lost reach, or content-rights disputes. You remain responsible for reviewing the account, content, settings, and provider result.
10. Suspension and termination
You may terminate use by disconnecting and deleting the connection. We may suspend or terminate access for prohibited use, security risk, provider direction, legal obligation, or material breach. We will preserve legally required records only for the necessary period.
11. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, subject to mandatory consumer protections. Questions: costea.michael@gmail.com.
